Dr Peter Wallace

Dr Wallace graduated in Edinburgh and holds fellowships of
the RACGP, ACRRM and is now an Adjunct Professor. Additionally he has a diploma in Obstetrics and 25
years anaesthetic experience. He no longer practices (there being no
theatre at MDH) and ceased Obstetrics in November 2000.
He has more recently developed interests along the lines
of care for the elderly, palliative care, sports medicine and post
graduate teaching.He has been actively involved in the hospital and
Bedingfeld Lodge for many years and is still the chairman of the
Medical Advisory Committee. He is also the medical officer for health
in the Shire Of Murray. In 2001 Peter was awarded was invested with the
Order of Australia Medal for service to the community and medicine.
Peter is a bit of a fitness fanatic and participates in a
variety of vigorous sports. He aims to holiday in the more remote and
challenging aspects of the world to satisfy his interest in Natural
history.
He is on the Board of ; WACRRM, WAGPET, RACGP, Chair of Murray district hospital medical advisory committee, On Peel task force committee, and the Medical board of WA.
