Pap smears
Every woman should have a Pap Smear every 2 years, unless you have apast history of an abnormality then yearly or 6 monthly.
The pathology group automatically sends all Pap smear results to the Central Registry in Perth. Please advise the Doctor if you don't want this service.
The nurses at Forrest House Medical Group will advises you by phone or letter of your lab result. You will also be put on a recall list at Forrest House Medical Group so that we can remind you when you are due for another smear.
Diet Information
The nurses at Forrest House Medical Group are not formally trained in dietetics, however they have extensive knowledge and information available on how to reduce your cholesterol and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Immunisations
The nurses are available between 8.30am and 5.30pm for immunisations. No formal Doctors appointment is necessary. We advise that you bring your child to the nurses area when convenient.
The nurse will then call the Doctor through with minimal delay to approve the immunisation. All immunisations are registered with the ACIR, if you have any queries about child's immunisation status,please don't hesitate to enquire at the nurses station.
All child immunisations are bulk billed.
Travel Vaccination
It is advisable that before you travel overseas that you consult your Doctor about your travel vaccinations.We have most vaccinations onsite so there is no need to go to the chemist and return for the injection.
Hepatitis B
It is a Government Scheme that the year children turn 12 they are entitled to a free Hep B immunisations course. This involves a series of 3 injections over a 6 month period.
