Careplans

At Forrest House patients with unique and complex health problems may be given an careplan. A careplan is a health care plan developed out to take care of the list of health care problems the

patient has, this involves specialist s, treatments and doctors. The plan enables the doctor and other health care professionals involved the ability to see and treat your health care needs in a more effective way . If you think that you need a care plan please speak to your doctor in your next visit.

Our Appointment System

Generally we keep some appointments for “use on the Day” so as to not be booked up as much every day in busy periods, generally these are taken early in the morning so if you would like to see if there are any left please ring at 8:00am when we open.

The Registered Nurses have their own doctors booking times that are used strictly for emergencies only, they are very important bookings so please make sure it is urgent before you request to speak with the nurse to get a nurses booking.

Emergencies

For major trauma, major emergencies and severe chest pain please call 000 and ask for an ambulance.

Ambulances are very expensive and are not covered by medicare. You can get ambulance cover to cover the cost of the ambulance only through private health care cover companies.

Check your Private Health Care cover contract to see if you are covered for ambulance fees.
